Anne-Marie studied at the University of Liverpool, graduating in 2007 with an LLB (Hons) before completing the Legal Practice Course with Distinction at BPP, London. She undertook her training contract at a regional firm in Essex, qualifying in 2010 before joining Jefferies in 2013 where she gained Panel Membership on the Children Panel. Anne-Marie obtained Higher Rights of Audience in 2012, which enables her to represent clients at all levels of the Court.
Anne-Marie specialises in children matters. She is particularly committed to representing both parents and children in Care proceedings and takes a proactive and collaborative approach, aiming for a child focussed resolution.
Anne-Marie also represents parents, grandparents, children or other family members in private disputes over children, providing clear advice and rigorous representation.
She is dedicated to pursuing her cases with enthusiasm, clear advice and strong representation. Where possible, she represents her clients in Court hearings, committed to ensuring a high standard of advocacy and consistency of representation.
Anne-Marie is always keen to work in partnership with professionals and the Court in relation to issues arising out of the areas of her work or as a result of nationwide changes. For example, Anne-Marie is currently involved with researching the effects of drugs and alcohol on families and how families struggling with these issues can reach a more positive outcome. She is passionate about access to justice and works hard in association with other local professionals and the Court in relation to resolving issues which have arisen as a result of the changes in the Legal Aid structure.
Anne-Marie enjoys spending her time taking part in sports such as running and Zumba, and also enjoys going to the cinema and organising charity events.
Anne-Marie is the Joint Chairperson of the South Essex Junior Lawyers Division which provides both a professional support, as well as a social, network for other junior Solicitors. This group has strong links with the local judiciary and also ensures that its links with the general community are strengthened by the various events organised.
